Artistic Technique
My work is rooted in the tradition of classical painting, with a strong focus on structure, tonality and the careful build-up of layers.
Rather than aiming for a direct copy of reality, I seek to create a sense of presence — a portrait that feels alive, balanced and timeless.
In my mixed technique works, I combine ArtGraf with coloured pencil on carefully prepared museum board. This approach allows for a subtle interplay between painterly depth and precise linework.
Many of the portraits in my Wall of Fame series have been created using this technique.
While the visual result is essential, the underlying process remains an important and carefully developed part of my practice.
A brief glimpse into my working process.
