Holding bowie

A personal project, dedicated to my father and to David Bowie.

Holding Bowie brings together image, memory, and music in a publication that grows slowly over time -  carried by the stories of people who knew Bowie up close or were otherwise closely involved.

A tribute in image and sound

Holding Bowie is a unique project in which love for music and personal memories come together.

A tribute to David Bowie, inspired by my father, with contributions from people who knew Bowie up close and worked with him.

Among them are musical director/rhythm guitarist Carlos Alomar, bassist Carmine Rojas, fashion designer Keanan Duffty, sound engineer Eduard Meyer, performance artist Joey Arias (pictured), and video editor Nigel Marshall (Nacho Video), who share their personal stories.

Ten stories, ten years after David’s passing.

Become part of the story

Holding Bowie will be published in a limited edition in late 2026.

Subscribers will receive exclusive updates on the book’s development, content, and release date before anyone else.

Along the way, I will share stories, encounters and unexpected discoveries through my blog, documenting the remarkable journey behind the project.

No mass production - just a carefully crafted publication, built step by step.

No mass production, but a carefully built project, step by step.

More images, fragments, and insights into the content and design will follow soon.

As part of the Holding Bowie project, I developed a memorial ring based on one of my Bowie portraits. More information can be found in the Bowie webshop.
