CARLOS ALOMAR — PERSONAL ENDORSEMENT OF ARJAN VAN GENT’S GICLÉE PRINTS

To My Bowie Family,

Every once in a while, someone comes along who reminds us why this community is so powerful, why the art, the music, and the memories continue to matte.

For me, Arjan van Gent is one of those people. Behind the scenes, Arjan has poured his heart, skill, and devotion into his upcoming book/magazine Holding Bowie - a tribute in photographs and personal stories from those who knew David. Ten voices, ten years after his passing… connected by a portrait inspired by Lord Snowdon’s iconic 1978 image. The same spirit, the same era, the same electricity that fueled the D.A.M. Trio.

And now, after witnessing the energy of our -The D.A.M. Trilogy- Back to Berlin performances, Arjan has graciously made 15 deluxe giclée prints of that Bowie portrait available. These come from a limited edition of 25, and the remaining 15 carry something very special:

I personally signed every certificate of authenticity during our show in Antwerp. So these aren’t just prints, they’re family artifacts. But the true beauty of this offering isn’t only in the art… It’s in the heart.

Just like our tour merchandise, most of the proceeds from these prints will support the education fund of Hikaru Davis, the son of my brother in rhythm, the legendary Dennis Davis.  Dennis gave the world a beat that still echoes through every stage we step on.

Supporting Hikaru is our way of keeping that rhythm alive—of honoring the man, the music, and the family that shaped us.

These prints—whether of Bowie himself, or of the portraits Arjan created of Dennis, George, or myself—represent more than images. They represent legacy. They represent connection. They represent the Bowie family showing up for each other again and again.

If you feel the music, if you carry the legacy, if you believe in continuing the dreams of those we’ve lost, then this is one of the most meaningful ways to do it.  Only fifteen remain, and when they’re gone… they’re gone.

So from my heart to yours, support Arjan’s work, support Hikaru’s future, and continue helping us carry the stories forward.

If you’re interested, send Arjan a DM.

And thank you, truly, for being the Bowie family I’ve always believed in.
